A New Gaming Table
I am very lucky to have a D&D gaming group with some handy woodworking skills. Whilst I am happy running a game with pencil and paper, they decided that a custom-made table with a TV would be great addition to our games.
With some players now in remote parts of the world, it will be a great asset as we try out on-line D&D sessions using Roll20.
The table is approximately 7 ft by 5 ft in size and has some cool features.
There are fold out shelves along all sides, which are perfect for storing books, dice and laptops during a game. Maybe a cuppa too…
Fold out shelves
The table itself has an inset flat screen TV, which can be used to display maps and floor plans during a game using miniatures or can show a Player’s view during an online game using Roll20.
Inset TV
The inset area is 6 ft x 4 ft, so is perfect for many wargames and will fit a wargaming mat. Alternatively, the inset area can be covered with some removable boards and a game can be set up on top.
Options for Wargames
I am so grateful for all the hard work it took to get this made and it will be tested out very soon as we kick off the ‘Tomb of Annihilation’.
