Gamineering Aspirations for 2018
Hello to all and welcome to my new blog!
My Gamineering (or “Working artfully to bring about an activity for amusement or fun”) aspirations for 2018 are already falling into place with a some games rolling over from last year.
Storm King’s Thunder (D&D 5th Ed.) will continue for a while and I will be running another Ancient Greek campaign for the Peloponnesian Wars using the Hail Caesar rules (More to follow in another post).
Other games are likely to include:
- By Fire and Sword – This game is beautifully engineered and I will be encouraging more of my gaming group to try it out. I now have a couple of painted skirmish forces and will be running some demo games.
- Sharp Practice 2 – I picked up the 2nd edition rules recently and a few fellow gamers have expressed an interest in playing some Napoleonic themed games.
- Black Powder – A big Battle of Wagram game is planned for later in the year and I expect to play a few casual games with my Peninsula British throughout the year.
- Hail Caesar – Victrix has released plastic elephants so the Battle of Thapsus will be a good opportunity to dig out the Caesarian Romans for an interesting civil war battle.
- Board Games – My family enjoy playing board games and the Christmas break was a good time to catch up (Codenames and Arkham Horror).
Thanks for visiting. Hopefully, there will be something more substantial when you visit next time.
Good luck with your plans! I’m also very keen for some Peninsula BP action, once the Austrian stats issue is sorted out!
